New project profile: The Meritage Hotel and Spa addition, Napa

NAPA – A 165-room opulence road house would be a considerable plan for Napa Valley by itself, but that’s only the add-on forthcoming this spring to The Meritage Hotel and Spa.

The total spaces for the two buildings are 131,300 square foot. It will cost around $40 million. The three story camp office building moreover will have Crush Ultra Lounge with a pool table, Sports entertainment and also a Bar. The 17,000-square-foot new gathering core adds 12,500 block feet to 10,500-square-foot discussion center. Between the two new buildings is a middle yard and fountain. Attractive designs will be seen all over the hotel.

And it’s gap on report in May, no tiny exploit for such a considerable plan behind after the October 2010 groundbreaking by the wettest winter in years, according to Roger Nelson, boss of plan broad executive Midstate Construction of Petaluma.

“We lost about four months at start of project, and they’re still moving in on schedule, so pretty pleased with that,” he said.

National Electrical Contractors Association donated and installed an electric vehicle charging station to the hotel. Hotel guests, restaurant patrons and events-goers can use the charger free of cost.

The Meritage Resort enjoys one of the most convenient locations in wine country. It is situated at the southern tip of Napa Valley. Just off the winery-dotted Highway 29, home to some of the most famous and historic wineries of the Napa Valley

Will the symphony return to Napa Valley?

A recent article in the Napa Valley Register noted that the communty's Lincoln theater, as well as the Napa Valley symphony were funded largely in part by one man, Donald Carr. Carr was a real estate mogul that donated millions of dollars on a yearly basis to both entities. Recently, though, Carr passed away in a tragic auto accident. Thus putting an end to his donations to the musical arts and unfortunately, for the time being, the Napa Valley Symphony.

Even though the musical arts are on a hiatus, there is still more than enough entertainment within the Napa Valley to keep the residents and the tourists occupied. From the busseling restaurants like Hydro Bar and Grill in Calistoga, to the famous wineries such as Robert Mondavi and Clos Du Bois, the Napa Valley offers a variety of entertainment and commercial businesses that suits just about anyone.
