The historical past of Napa is amazing because it’s a location that has taken to popularity in a relatively little while. Napa Valley has since faced serious threats to its industry by pest and phylloexera and also the enactment of Prohibition. All these factors forced vineyard owners and workers to look for other possibilities by learning new trades. Only a handful of wineries survive the hit but after the Prohibition was no longer live, the wine industry started blooming again. Even though the WWII was also a blow for the wine industry, the 50' brought a full recovery for the wine industry making the valley the wine lover's tourist paradise.
So as local wine makers are referring to the vintage specialties of the Napa wine, they are also pointing to the lush and diverse past. You can taste all these qualities in every drop of the valley's vino.

Napa Wine Tasting Room,Features Janet Ekholm During 'Arts in April

Napa Wine flavored area, Cornerstone Cellars., a premium manufacturer of award-winning Napa Area wine beverages, is excited to present artist Janet Ekholm's special display of extraordinary artwork at Cornerstone's Yountville flavored area collection as the featured artist during Napa Valley's "Arts in April."

Darms lane Wine Produces First 2010 Pinot Noir From Russian River Valley

Napa's Oak Knoll’s renowned family winery “Darms Lane Wine” announced the release of its 2010 Russian River “Pinot Noir”. Pinot Noir is an excellent first vintage with fruit sourced from the Dutton Ranch – Barron Vineyard in the Green Valley.
Owner of Darms Lane Wine Larry Bump said, “This is a long time dream and a coming of age for our family vineyard. ” Larry Bump believed that elegant and food friendly Pinot Noir will catch the market very fast.

Per bottle of the 2010 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir will cost around $37 and per case is $468. To celebrate its inaugural release, buyers will receive $10 ground shipping with any purchase. Stock is limited.

Materra to open wine tasting room on Main Street

Later this month a new wine brand industry will open a new wine tasting room at 1426 Main St. in St. Helena. It’s “Materra Cunat Premium Vineyards.” Brian Cunat is the owner of Materra Company and he was the former president of Kiwanis International.

Cunat Heitz believes that the construction will be completed in two years and hopes to clear the permitting process by spring of 2013.

Cunaz Heitz graduated from Arizona State University-Tempa. She studied wine evaluation at Napa Valley College. She has a good sense about wine as because she was the employee of BP Wine Merchants. Cunat Heitz ha

s no official title, because, she said, her father “is not a fan of titles.”

She said that the target of production will be 10,000 to 13,000 cases including all varietals.

She also said “We definitely want to keep a relationship with the hotel for free tastings for its guests.”
